Spring 2027 1S New Student Orientation
Description
All new incoming students, including former CCP and transfer students, are required to attend one New Student Orientation. To best prepare for your first semester at MTC, we have an on-campus program scheduled where you will meet staff, learn about campus resources, college requirements, and paying for college, and have a hands-on session to learn how to navigate My MTC (Brightspace, email, Self-Service, etc.). You will also have the opportunity to get your student ID card and tour campus buildings.
This orientation program is for all majors. If you have a disability and require accommodations, please contact our Office of Student Disability Services at DS@mtc.edu.
Check-in for Orientation starts at 1:30, and the program ends at 5:30 PM

- Do I need my MTC email account to be set up before orientation?
Yes. You will need your MTC email account set up prior to the orientation program. Click here for instructions on how to set up your account. If you need any assistance with setting up your MTC email account, please reach out via email to orientation@mtc.edu.
- Do I need to stay the whole duration?
Yes, students are expected to stay for the full orientation in order to receive credit for attending. Orientation is designed to provide important information throughout the event, including resources, next steps, and guidance that will help you start strong at Marion Technical College. Each part builds on the next, so staying the entire time ensures you receive the complete experience and all required information. If you have an unavoidable conflict or none of the times or dates work for you, you can sign up for our virtual orientation!
